This article describes how to create a module, for an event.
You need to have the property Exam Admin/Edit modules added to your role to be able to perform this task.

How to create a module
Find the course
The modules exist at the top of the Events. Find an event to add a module to:
- Go to the left-hand menu Events/(specific course)
- Click the + Add module button, at the lower right corner of the screen
Create the Module
A new window appears.
- Give the module a name in the Name field
- Select which type of Component operator the module will use, And or Or
- Select which type of Grading Scale, select Pass/Fail
- Click Save Changes button.
- Refresh the window to update the data.
- Click the + Add component drop-down button and select Exam/Progress measure or Assignment
- For this exercise select Exam
- Name the component "Exam 2021 june"
- Create another one and call it "Exam 2021 resit"
- Go back and change the Component Operator to Or
- Click the Save changes button
Connect a real item to a module
Find the exams
Find an event to add a module to:
- Go to the left-hand menu Events/(specific course)
- Click the Modules button, just above the two examinations.
Connect the exams
Now it's time to connect a component inside the module to a real item for a student.
- Go to the line with Exam 2021 June and click on the text Pick Exam
- If you have many modules select the one you just created, Test
- Click the Modules button, just above the two examinations.
- In the drop-down menu Pick exam, select the Examination 2021 June
- Click at the button Pick Exam
The result is visible in the module, the Component is connected to a real exam with results.
Connect the second item as well
- In the drop-down menu Pick exam, select the Examination 2021 resit
- Click the button Published to students to Yes if you want the module to be active for the students
Result page
Switch tab to the Student performance, in the matrix you can see the results from the two exams, as we choose to set the Component Operation to Or, which means, if s student manages to pass one of the two exams, he/she will pass the module.
