This article refers to the functionality of Ortrac web. This information is relevant to course administrators who needs to create an automated course certificate for the student to download as a pdf after course completion.
1. Administration
Creating and distribute course certificates to all students, after completing a course can be quite tiresome with a lot of logistics, mailing back and forth. To help out with this task, Orzone platform has a feature to attach a pdf file to a module, defining the completion of a course occasion.
- Go to Courses/<course>/course occasion
- Under the Students section, select a module using the drop-down menu Module to the right
- Click the button Edit Module to the right
- Click the button Add diploma
An editor appears for creation of the course certificate.
- To add a background image, click on the Upload button in the Background image section
- Select type of image, portrait or landscape, by selecting the preferred on in the Orientation drop down menu (added example is Portrait)
- To add text and variables, click anywhere in the picture; a square appears, write appropriate text and add variables (demographic fields from your student setup or technical data like date/time)for each editor box.
- Control the size and placement by dragging the corners & edges or by using the editor to the right.
- Click Save changes button
- Click Preview button to view your diploma
2. Usage
- The student within a <course occasion>, after completing the module:
- Click the <module>
- Click the Download certificate button
- Go to the Download folder on your computer to find your course certificate
