This article will explain how to move from the old usage of progress measures into the new more convenient function, form component. 


This article is only applicable to sites, using the progress measures


TABLE OF CONTENTS

Create a new module

  • Go to the menu Modules and measures/Modules
  • Click the button Create new module
  • Add a <name>
  • Click the button Save changes



Add a form to module

  • Click the button +Add component
  • Select Form from the dropdown list
  • Click the button Save changes


Connect a progress measure for the first time

A new window appears, Add form component:

  • Click the button Pick progress measure

A new window appears, Add component:

  • Give the form component a <name>
  • Select an old <progress measure> from the drop down list, Select progress measure
  • Click the button Add component

Note: once you done this step, you cannot find the progress measure in the list.



Connect the same progress measure for the second time

  • Click the button +Add component
  • Select Form from the dropdown list
  • Click the button Save changes


A new window appears, Add form component:

  • Click the button Copy existing


A new window appears, Add component:

  • Give the form component a <name>
  • Under the section Copy component, select the correct module
  • Select the correct Form component (=the old progress measure, converted, in the step before)
  • Click the button Add component



Add the module to the course

  • Go to Courses/<course>/<course occasion>
  • Go to the Student section
  • Click the button Add module



Sort the modules

  • Click the button Sort module
  • Drag-n-drop the <new module> to the correct location
