This article refers to the functionality of Ortrac web. This article show how create an exam segment. An examination need at least one to run properly.
Ortrac provides different options for setting up the layout of an exam, for example allowing you to split the exam event into different segments. The most common option is to have only one segment, e.g. a written exam with only one part on a certain date. This article will show you how to setup an event with one exam segment.
- Go to the "Events" tab and select an event instance from the dropdown list.
- Click on the "Add segment" button and select "Exam" from the dropdown list. This will create the one and only segment that we require for a written exam.
- Click on the created segment and edit the details of the exam. Write the official exam name and give it a description.
Now that one segment has been added to the exam it will be possible to schedule the event. The next article will show you how to set start date, duration and various other settings that will be associated with the segment you have just added.
If you are setting up an exam with more than one segment, simply add another segment, name it and give it an appropriate description. All segments that you add here will show up in the "Info" tab for the exam and will be able to be scheduled with a separate start time and duration.
